For envelope addressing, prices begin at $1.50/line for formal calligraphic styles, using a dip pen and ink. Casual styles that can be done with a fountain pen or pointed felt tip pen begin at $3/three-line envelope. Invitation design begins at $350. Place cards/escort cards, menus, programs, table numbers etc. are also available. Pricing for awards and resolutions, poetry, and drawings depend on the length of the text and the complexity of the project: please inquire. Working from her studio in Hoboken, New Jersey, Anna Pinto does freelance work for private clients as well as many cultural, corporate, and educational institutions. She has taught calligraphy in the Art Department of Long Island University in Brooklyn, and teaches workshops for various calligraphy and book arts groups around the country. She is a member of the Board of New York's Society of Scribes. Her specialties are the Italic style (see writing on HOME PAGE) and casual handwriting styles. She particularly enjoys incorporating color and drawing into her work, and working with clients to find just the right expressive solution for their projects. Her calligraphy has been seen in publications that range from Artist and Alphabet: Lettering Art in the Twentieth Century (Godine) to Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Calendar 2006 (Abrams), to Drawing Dimensions: a Comprehensive Introduction by Cynthia Dantzic (Prentice Hall), to The Perfect Wedding Reception and The Perfect Wedding Details by Maria McBride Mellinger (Harper Collins). Her work is also represented in private collections and the collections of libraries at Rutgers and Yale, and the San Francisco Public Library.
